Motorola will launch the Moto X Force in India in January 2016, according to General Manager of Motorola India, Amit Boni. The phone’s standout feature is its ShatterShield Display technology, which is said to absorb shocks and prevent the screen from shattering. The company has already launched the Moto X Force in the United States as the Droid Turbo 2. The phone comes with a 5.4-inch QHD P-OLED display. Motorola says that it uses five layers of glass and lens to make the screen durable. These are composed of an aluminium core, the flexible P-OLED panel, twin touch layers, and inner and outer lens covering. The device is also equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, with 3GB of RAM. At the back is a 21MP camera, with a 5MP front camera. While Boni did not reveal the price of the phone in India, the US variant of the phone is priced at $624 (approx. Rs. 41,700) and $720 (approx. Rs. 48,000), for the 32GB and 64GB variants, respectively.

The company has also hinted that it may launch the Moto G Turbo Edition in India tomorrow. The phone is similar to the Moto G (3rd Gen), except for the processor. The device comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, as compared to the quad-core Snapdragon 410 on the Moto G (3rd Gen). It also has a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage, with can be expanded by upto 32GB. It has a 13MP primary camera, and a 5MP front camera.
