Motorola has started teasing the upcoming Moto G4 on its social media pages. The posts hint at some of the features of the upcoming device and have the hash-tag, ‘#missing’. The teasers hint at a fingerprint sensor, better battery life, improved performance, and a better camera. Rumours suggest that the company will launch two variants of the device, a standard G4 as well as another variant called the G4 Plus. The company is holding an event on May 17 during which it is expected to announce the new device.
The first teaser by Motorola says, “#Missing since his dad saw his browser history. With better security, make it daddy proof. Coming soon!” This is alludes to the fingerprints sensor that the G4 Plus is expected to come with. Previous leaks have suggested that the phone might come with a fingerprint sensor located in the home button. The second teaser alludes to the improved battery life in the new device. It says, “#MISSING since he was about to propose a girl he likes. With better battery, no more missing out. Coming soon!” Not much is known about the battery capacity of the upcoming device.
The third teaser by the company alludes to the performance of the upcoming device. It says, “#MISSING since Rohan was playing his favourite game and the phone hung! Don't miss out on victory. Coming soon!” The device has been tipped to come with an octa-core processor, but not much is known about the amount of RAM it will have. The final teaser hints at the camera quality and fast autofocus speed of the device. It says, “The autofocus ruined Stacy's 18th birthday picture. Stop #missing on milestones with a better camera. Coming soon!” Previous leaks suggest that the standard Moto G4 may come with a 13MP primary camera, while the G4 Plus is expected to come with a 16MP camera.
Both variants of the Moto G4 have been tipped to come with 5.5-inch display and offer 16GB of internal storage. The standard G4 is tipped to be priced at €240 (approx. Rs. 18,300) while the G4 Plus is expected to be priced at €280 (approx. Rs. 21,400).
