Motorola has launched the Moto G Turbo Edition in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 14,499, and will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The device is available in two colour variants: Black with Deep Sea Blue back, and White with Slate back. The Moto G Turbo Edition comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Turbo Edition also comes with a TurboPower charger, which Motorola claims to offer six hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging. Additionally, the phone is water- and dust-repellent, with IP67 certification.

The rest of the features of the Moto G Turbo Edition are pretty similar to the Moto G (3rd Gen). It has a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is 4G LTE capable, with 16GB of onboard storage, which can be extended by upto 32GB. There is a 13MP camera on the rear of the device, and a 5MP camera in the front. The Turbo Edition comes with a 2470mAh battery which the company claims can offer mixed usage for upto 24 hours. The device runs on stock Android Lollipop v5.1.1. Motorola is also giving customers a number of launch offers for the phone. The company is offering 100% cashback for 100 lucky customers. Buyers can also exchange their old smartphone for upto Rs. 6,000, while Airtel subscribers can double their data for free when they buy the phone.

For the price, the Moto G Turbo Edition will be up against phones like the Xiaomi Mi 4 and the Asus Zenfone Selfie. The Mi 4 comes with a 5-inch Full HD screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor, with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 16GB of storage, which cannot be expanded. At the back of the Mi 4 is a 13MP camera, while at the front is an 8MP camera. The phone comes with a 3080mAh battery. The Asus Zenfone Selfie has a larger 5.5-inch Full HD screen, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 SoC with 2GB of RAM. The Zenfone Selfie comes with 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by upto 128GB. The device comes with 13MP cameras in both the front and back of the phone. The phone also has a 3000mAh battery.
