Moto M features metal unibody design and it comes at slight premium to Moto G4 Plus

Motorola has officially launched Moto M, the unibody metal smartphone in India at a starting price of Rs 15,999. The smartphone was first announced in China and is now being made available exclusively on Flipkart.

At 7.8mm, Motorola Moto M is one of the sleekest smartphone from the company and it weighs around 165 grams. Motorola says Moto M acts as reflection of human attitude and it carries the exuberance in the form of unibody aluminium design. Motorola is catching on the trend of metal smartphones which has become common even among the budget smartphones.

Moto M features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is the first Motorola smartphone to support Dolby Atmos ensuring cinematic experience. Moto M is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 processor. Moto M will be available in two variants – 3GB model with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM variant with 64GBGB storage.

The smartphone features a 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. There is an 8MP selfie camera with beautification mode. The whole list of specification seems similar to Moto G4 Plus except for the processor and option of 4GB RAM. Motorola thinks ditching plastic in favour of metal is the step in the right direction and the overall appeal of the smartphone does justify that move.

Moto M will be available at Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 for the 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants respectively. The device will be available from Flipkart just a minute before midnight tomorrow.
