Motorola will be launching the Moto G4 Play smartphone in India, soon. The company made the announcement via its social media accounts, and while it did not reveal the price, Motorola stated that the phone will be exclusive to Amazon. As per the company's social media accounts, the phone will be available for sale from September 6. Further, the Moto G4 Play is going to be the most affordable smartphone in the Moto G4 lineup, and sports a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2GB of RAM, and is equipped with a 2800mAh battery. The phone sports 8MP and 5MP cameras, and offers 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB. The Moto G4 Play runs stock Android Marshmallow v6.0.1, and judging by Motorola's track record, it should be upgraded to Android Nougat within a few months of it being launched.

To recall, Motorola unveiled the standard Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in May 2016. Both devices sport 5.5-inch Full HD displays, and are powered by the Snapdragon 617 SoC. The two devices are also equipped with 5MP cameras. While the standard Moto G4 sported a 13MP rear camera, the Moto G4 Plus featured a 16MP camera with laser-assisted autofocus. The Moto G4 Plus also offers a fingerprint scanner.
