Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM smartphone unveiled

Microsoft announces the budget Lumia 540 Dual-SIM smartphone with a 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim.

Microsoft has announced another entry level smartphone- the Lumia 540 Dual SIM priced at $150 (roughly Rs. 9,361). The smartphone will be available from next month in India, Middle East, Africa (IMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) countries.

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM is the successor to the Lumia 530 launched last year. The entry level smartphone comes with Smart Dual SIM feature and is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 upgradable to Windows 10. It has a 5 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels display resolution. The Lumia 540 Dual-SIM is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It has 8GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot up to 128 GB. It has an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP wide-angle selfie camera. Connectivity options included in the Lumia 540 Dual SIM are USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi with hotspot, GPS, and 3G network support. The smartphone offers support up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices. It is backed by a removable 2200 mAh battery. The Lumia 540 Dual Sim will be available in white, cyan, orange and matte black colors. Read: Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640XL launched in India

That’s why today we’re introducing the new Lumia 540 Dual SIM.”
