Lenovo unveiled the Vibe X Android smartphone earlier this year at the IFA and today the device has been launched in India.

The Vibe X runs on Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, flaunts a full HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with 441 ppi pixel density. In terms of dimensions, it measures merely 6.9mm in thickness and weighs 121 grams. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Vibe X sports a 13MP rear shooter with auto-focus and LED flash along with a 5MP snapper at the front. The device packs a 2000mAh battery and has 16GB of internal memory but no support for microSD cards. In terms of connectivity, it has support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS.

Lenovo claims what really sets Vibe X apart are features like the face orientation rotation feature and the smart call feature. Smart swipe is another unique feature on the Vibe X which enables the user to unlock the phone without pressing the power button.

“The Vibe series establishes Lenovo’s focus on ergonomics and aesthetics. Vibe X is slimmer and lighter than most phones in its class and packs a slew of unique features that consumers look for today. We will continue to strengthen this segment,” said Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India.

The device is slim at just 6.9mm and has a nice metallic finish. The back also has a metallic finish and houses the 13MP camera with an LED flash.

The Vibe X will go on sale across the country from December 21 at a price of Rs. 25,999. Pre-orders for the Vibe X start today exclusively at 'thedostore.com'. For more information the Vibe X visit Lenovo.com.
