Lava launches Iris 458q quad-core Jelly Bean smartphone for Rs. 8,999

Lava International Ltd. has launched a new quad-core smartphone – Iris 458q. The smartphone, running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, is powered a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The Iris 458q is priced at Rs. 8,999.

The Lava Iris 458q sports a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with FWVGA resolution. It has 4GB built-in storage and expandable up to 32GB via microSD. It has 512MB of RAM. The smartphone has 8MP rear and VGA front facing cameras. There’s 2,000mAh battery.

Lava has also preloaded various useful apps such as WeChat, Push Mail, e-book reader etc. on the phone along with HD movies and HD games. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and Bluetooth.

The Lava Iris 458q will take on a range of budget quad-core smartphones / phablets available in the market right now such as the Karbonn Titanium S1 and S5.
