The new Intex Aqua phone will compete against a range of budget octa-core phones in the market.

Intex has launched a new Android smartphone 'Aqua Xtreme' in India. Priced at Rs. 11,490, the new Intex smartphone runs 4.4.2KitKat (upgradable to Lollipop) and is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM.

The Intex Aqua Xtreme has a 5-inch IPS HD display with dragontrail glass. It has 13MP rear auto focus camera and 5MP front facing camera. It comes with 32GB built in storage and supports 32GB expandable storage. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/Hotspot. It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. The main highlight of the phone is its design – it is 6.99 mm slim.

Launch of the Intex Aqua Xtreme comes shortly after the company launched Aqua Power octa-core smartphone featuring 4000mAh battery. The 5-inch smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and is accompanied by 1GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the phone houses 8GB internal storage which can expanded via a 32GB microSD card.
