Registrations for InFocus’ flagship device with 5.5-inch Full HD screen and Snapdragon 801 SoC will start from September 23, and sale begins from October 1

InFocus has announced the sale of M812, its new flagship smartphone. Priced at Rs. 19,999, registrations start from September 23, exclusively on Snapdeal, and sale begins on October 1. The phone's anodized aluminum design, claimed by InFocus to have been “sculpted out of a single block of aluminium”, is one of its major selling points.

The InFocus M812 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection. At the back is a 13MP camera with dual-tone LED flash. The 8MP front camera has an 80-degree viewing angle. A 2.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC powers it, along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, expandable upto 128GB. The phone is 4G-capable, and runs Android Lollipop v5.0, customised with InLife UI 2.0. It houses a 2900mAh non-removable battery with quick charging capability, which InFocus claims can reach 80% power with one hour of charging. At full charge, the device is reportedly capable of playing HD quality videos for 7 hours.

Sachin Thapar, Country Head, InFocus India said, “Today, metal is the ultimate hallmark of premium quality and enviable looks. Keeping this benchmark in mind, we have created the InFocus M812 as the most covetable epitome of design and performance. For the style-conscious Android lovers, we believe this flagship smartphone will become a symbol of exquisite aesthetics and an extension of their personality.”

InFocus had announced the M812 alongside other smartphones and LED TVs at an event held in July this year. The event was InFocus’ first proper push into the Indian market. Among the smartphones announced was the M550-3D, which came with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with passive 3D technology. This allowed users to view 3D content without having to wear goggles. InFocus had also introduced two Ultra HD LED TVs sized at 50-inches and 60-inches, along with five other models.
