Huawei is adding another smartphone to its budget device lineup with the launch of Y7 Prime. The handset has been announced in Hong Kong and will retail for 1,880 HKD (around Rs 15,500) and will be available from VMall. The smartphone is also being offered by telecom carrier Three in Hong Kong.

The Huawei Y7 Prime is aimed at consumers looking for a budget smartphone with a huge battery. The Y7 Prime features a unibody metal design and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The Huawei Y7 Prime features a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The handset is 8.5mm thick and weighs about 165 grams. It offers connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and microUSB port. The smartphone runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and will be available in grey, gold and silver colour options.
