Honor Magic 2 may launch with motorised camera and AMOLED display: Report
Honor is said to include the AMOLED display in the Honor Magic 2 smartphone to achieve nearly 100% screen-to-body ratio.
Taking a cue from fellow Chinese smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo, Honor is working on a smartphone called the Honor Magic 2. The company talked about the smartphone ahead of IFA this year and it may incorporate an AMOLED display to offer thin bezels and close to 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. According to mysmartprice.com, the smartphone will also ship with a ‘Magic Charger’ reportedly capable of taking the wattage of up to 40W.
The Honor Magic 2 could sport a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×2880 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio and a pixel density of 537 PPI. The Magic 2 will reportedly have a camera slider that will help the manufacturer ensure a Full View display and premium exteriors. The smartphone is also reported to get a suitable IP rating to make it water and dust resistant. As mentioned above, the smartphone is expected to come with a ‘Magic charger’ for a 3300mAh battery. There is no information about the wireless charging. Honor is also said to have 15 layers of protection on the smartphone to make it sturdy.
The Honor Magic 2 could be powered by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset (quad-core Cortex A73 clocked at 2.36Ghz + Quad-core Cortex A53 clocked at 1.8GHz). The processor could be complemented with 6GB RAM and supported by the Mali-G72 MP12 GPU for graphics. The smartphone may run on Android 8.1 Oreo. In the camera department, the smartphone is expected to sport a dual-rear camera setup with 12MP+12MP lenses on the back. It could feature a 24MP selfie shooter.
