Google has begun to roll out a fix for the screen snow bug, which has affected some Pixel 10 devices since launch. In a statement to Android Authority, the company acknowledged that it is aware of the issues, and the fix began rolling out on September 3. The update is part of the September 2025 security patch, and it will continue to roll out to more devices in coming weeks. “We are aware of an issue that affects a small number of Pixel 10 devices. We started rolling out fixes on September 3rd, with more to come in the coming weeks,” Google said, as reported by Android Authority.

However, according to the report, the official changelog made no mention of the screen snow bug, but did mention a fix for an issue in which the screen could turn black during webpage transitions in the app browser under certain conditions. According to the report, this change is intended to address the issue of static filled screens.

On the other hand, Reddit and other social media users have widely discussed the bug, with complaints indicating that the glitch could cause their devices to freeze for more than 10 minutes. Many users have speculated that the problem could be related to GPU handling or display drivers. However, the fix has come as a welcome relief to Pixel 10 owners.

If you have already installed the September Pixel update, the patch should now be active and addressing the problems. Others can get the update in the coming days as rollout expands.
