The Google Pixel 10 series is just a couple of months away from its official debut. The tech giant has already started sending invites to Pixel superfans for a pre-launch event. This year’s Pixel devices have been making a lot of buzz months ahead of their debut for all the good reasons. The devices are likely to get some significant upgrades that have been pending for years. Keeping the hype up, the latest report suggests that the upcoming Pixel series is set to get “the best audio quality ever.”

Pixel 10 series to get improved speakers

According to a report by Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 series is set to get upgraded speakers. However, it remains unclear what precisely the improvement would be. However, the report says that Google is not adopting Dolby Atmos on the Pixel 10. Notably, Pixel smartphones have consistently featured high-quality speakers. 

Pixel 10 series specifications

Google will likely introduce the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL in August. The standard model and the Pro variant are said to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, whereas the Pixel 10 Pro XL could sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel offering a peak brightness of up to 2,700 nits. 

All three handsets will likely pack the next-gen Tensor G5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM. They may run on Android 16 with seven years of OS and security updates. The smartphones will also pack the new AI capabilities introduced at Google I/O 2025.   

In terms of the camera, the standard Pixel 10 is rumoured to get a third telephoto lens. On the other hand, the Pro models will likely come with last year’s camera hardware, with some software enhancements and AI capabilities.

Pixel 10 series colour options

This year, Google is reportedly planning to move away from its usual Obsidian and Porcelain colour options for the Pixel 10 series. Instead, the standard Pixel 10 may arrive in Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, and Midnight, while the pro models could get Sterling Grey, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green colour options. 

Pixel 10 series launch date (expected) 

The Pixel 10 series is likely to debut on August 20 and may get on sale by August 28. However, Google has yet to confirm these details.
