Google's new tool called 'Which Phone' will help find just the right Android smartphone for you.
Google has launched a new tool that that recommends Android handsets to users based on their preferences. The tool will ask users different questions and based on their selections the internet giant will suggest the best smartphones for them along with the handsets key attributes.
The 'Which Phone' tool asks users to choose what their next "Android phone is for", giving 12 options – Taking photos; Listening to music; Being productive; Social media; Gaming; Watching videos; Being on the go; Staying fit; Texting & instant messaging; Talking; Web browsing; and Expressing my style. The tool will ask them more questions depending on their selection like how many hours a day they spend in their chosen preference. Users have to choose at least three options, and then click on "Show Me Phones" to view the recommended handsets.
The results will include the latest flagship handsets like LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S6/ Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC One M9, and more. Users can also filter the results based on the smartphone brands, carriers, sizes, prices, and latest phones. Every handset will also show the reasons for the selections such as 'social multi-tasker' and 'balanced speed & endurance.' The "Find the Android phone for you" tool is part of the company's Android site. Describing the tool, Google says, "With many Android phones to choose from, here's a great place to start. Answer three or more quick questions, and we'll suggest phones just for you."
Google has been trying to improve the users experience with new tools and features. It recently introduced the 'find my phone' in Chrome. Apart from this the company revealed its Android M mobile operating system at the I/O developer conference last month. The new version of Android has several interesting features to make the users' overall experience more productive. It has also started rolling out new "Touch to Search" feature for the Chrome browser on Android mobiles. The internet giant has announced a 'My account' dashboard for users that provides a 'step-by-step guide' through the users most important privacy and security settings. The tool is aimed at giving more clarity and control to users on what information the internet giant can see from profiles. Users will also be able to limit Google from logging their activities on PC's and mobile devices.
