The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is priced at Rs. 26,999 and will be available exclusively at Flipkart
Gionee has launched the Marathon M5 Plus in India at Rs. 26,999 and the device will be available exclusively via Flipkart. Like the rest of the devices in the Marathon series, the highlight of the phone is its battery life. M5 Plus features a 5020mAh battery, which the company claims can offer 21 hours of talktime. It also has a 6-inch FHD AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 SoC with 3GB of RAM. The device sports 13MP and 5MP cameras along with a fingerprint sensor. Gionee Marathon M5 Plus runs Android Lollipop v5.1 with Amigo 3.1 UI layered over it.

The standard Marathon M5 was launched back in November last year. The device sports a smaller 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, but a larger 6020mAh battery. Gionee claims that the large battery is enough for 65 hours of talktime. The rest of the specifications of the standard Marathon M5 are the same as that of the M5 Plus. Gionee had earlier planned to launch the M5 Plus in December last year.
