Blaupunkt to start selling mobile accessories in India

The well known German car accessory maker is starting with USB cables, with a plan to bring in wearables later.

Blaupunkt is entering the mobile accessories market in India. The renowned car accessory maker says it wants to take advantage of a growing accessory market in India. Blaupunkt has partnered with distributor Vidur & Co. and will be starting with car chargers, USB cables and headphones in the country. India is the first country Blaupunkt will sell its mobile accessories.

Blaupunkt’s USB cables start at Rs. 299, while the USB Type-C cables cost Rs. 599, and Rs. 749 for the Apple certified lightning cables. The earphones on the other hand, will cost Rs. 299 increasing to Rs. 599. Lastly, the car chargers will cost Rs. 399 to Rs. 599 and are smart chargers that determine the amount of current your phone needs and deliver the same.

According to the company, India has a huge unregulated market in accessories and Blaupunkt will need to compete against the same. Blaupunkt says its cables and accessories are certified by many international agencies and bring quality to the consumer at an affordable price.
