Bharti Airtel introduces special international roaming plans
With the new international packs, Airtel customers travelling to the U.S. can have up to 5 hours of free incoming calls.
Bharti Airtel has announced special international roaming packs for its users travelling to following countries – the U.S., U.A.E, U.K., Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia and Germany.
With the new roaming packs, Airtel customers travelling to the U.S. can get up to 5 hours of free incoming calls and make outgoing calls for Rs. 20 per minute.
With a fixed rental of Rs. 8,500, users have free 300 incoming minutes. The pack is valid for 30 days and post full usage users will be charged Rs. 20 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls.
With a pack worth Rs. 3,500, users travelling to the U.S. get 60 free incoming minutes and 10 free minutes on a pack of Rs. 1,000.
“While Airtel postpaid customers travelling to countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, UAE and UK can now enjoy up to two hours of non-chargeable incoming calls and make outgoing calls for as low as Rs. 40 per minute through special packs,” Airtel says in a statement.
For these countries, Airtel is offering a fixed pack of Rs. 3,600, which includes 120 free incoming minutes. After free minutes are exhausted, users will be charged Rs. 40 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls. There’s a pack of Rs. 1,500, under which users get 30 free incoming minutes. After full usage, users will be charged Rs. 60 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls. The validity of these two packs is 15 days each.
Airtel has also extended special roaming packs to prepaid users, who can now have incoming and outgoing calls for Rs. 20 per minute on packs of Rs. 779 and Rs. 1,479. The offer is available for select countries only.
