It should be noted that the offer is applicable on all smartphones regardless of being purchased offline or online. Also, in order to avail the cashback, the buyer needs to be a Jio Prime customer and perform a recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299 to activate the offer on their newly purchased phone.

The cashback will be instantly transferred back into their MyJio account in form of 44 vouchers, each worth Rs 50. These vouchers can then be used one at a time to perform subsequent recharges worth Rs 198 or Rs 299, via the MyJio app. It should be noted that the vouchers are non-transferrable and will expire if not used by May 31, 2022.

Apart from Jio, Idea also recently announced a similar cashback offer which their prepaid and postpaid users can avail by buying any new 4G smartphone of any brand. The telco has not yet detailed how a cashback of Rs 2000 will be returned to the customers but says that one needs to perform recharges worth Rs 6,000 over a period of 36 months for receiving the cashback.
