Lenovo Legion 5: Design and top features
The Legion 5 (2025) sticks to Lenovo’s familiar, understated aesthetic but brings notable upgrades on the visual front. The laptop features a 15.3 inch WUXGA IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It also supports Dolby Vision and Nvidia G Sync. Lenovo is offering the machine in a single Eclipse Black finish in India.
Inside, Lenovo has paired AMD’s latest Ryzen 7 260 CPU with Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 5050 GPU, positioning the laptop for mid to high end gaming and creative tasks. The model comes with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, which is the only configuration available at launch.
To manage the hardware, Lenovo is using a combination of aluminium heat sinks, copper heatpipes and Turbo 3D fans. The system supports up to 160W TDP. The laptop also includes Lenovo’s AI Core chip and updated Gaming Zone features, which help with automatic performance optimisation based on workload.
Powering the laptop is an 80Wh battery that ships with a 245W charger. Lenovo claims Rapid Charge support, allowing the battery to reach about 70 percent in half an hour. The device also supports 100W USB C charging, which can be handy for lighter tasks when you do not want to carry the large power brick.
For audio, the Legion 5 (2025) comes with Harman tuned dual 2W speakers with Nahimic enhancements. Connectivity options include Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, an HD webcam with a physical E shutter, and a MUX switch for toggling between integrated and dedicated graphics.
