HP launches HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop in India, price starts from Rs 1,49,999
HP has just launched the HyperX Omen 15 in India which is the first HyperX-branded gaming laptop in the country. Introduced under HP’s refreshed HyperX gaming identity unveiled at CES 2026, the new Omen 15 seems to be a great fit for serious gamers who care about sustained performance, ultra-low latency, and consistency during long gaming sessions rather than short bursts of power. As competitive gaming, AAA titles, and content creation continue to push hardware harder than ever, HP is calling the HyperX Omen 15 as a machine built to stay fast and responsive even under prolonged load.

HyperX Omen 15 launched: Specifications and features
Under the hood, the HyperX Omen 15 is powered by Intel’s 14th-generation Core i7-14650HX processor paired with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. HP says the system can deliver up to 170W of total processor power, allowing both the CPU and GPU to maintain high performance during demanding gameplay and creative workloads.
A major highlight is HP’s 8K polling rate keyboard, making this the company’s first laptop to feature the technology. With a claimed 0.125ms response time from keypress to display, the keyboard delivers four times faster responsiveness across user input communication, a clear nod to competitive and esports gamers.
The laptop features a 15.3-inch 2.5K IPS display with a 180Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and up to 500 nits of brightness. With 100 percent sRGB colour coverage and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, the display is designed to be equally suitable for immersive gaming and content creation. Eyesafe certification is also included to reduce eye strain during extended sessions.
Performance optimisation is handled by Omen AI and Unleashed Mode, which dynamically manage power and thermals in real time. Cooling is taken care of by Omen Tempest Cooling, which uses a reverse airflow mechanism to push dust out via the Omen Gaming Hub, helping maintain thermal efficiency during long hours of use. The laptop runs on Windows 11 and supports deep personalisation through Omen Gaming Hub and Omen Light Studio, including per-key RGB lighting and an optional RGB light bar.
