Yahoo Mail adds Dropbox attachment support
Dropbox is now available within Yahoo! Mail. This integration allows you to share and store files more easily.
Yahoo has announced a partnership with Dropbox that paves the way for integration of the cloud storage service with Yahoo! Mail. The integration is supposed to make management of e-mail attachments much easier as well as speedier. Dropbox support is currently available for the web version of Yahoo Mail in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
If you already a Dropbox user, you can start using the service right away. But those who are new to the service need to click on any attachment they receive in Yahoo! Mail and select ‘Save to all’, ‘Save to Dropbox’, and then follow the instructions to set up a new Dropbox account.
To save multiple files to Dropbox in Yahoo! Mail, open the attachment and click the ‘Save to Dropbox’ button. Now save your file to the default Yahoo! Mail folder within Dropbox or you can click ‘More Options’ to create and name a new Dropbox folder to your life.
Users can also send a new attachment from Dropbox in Yahoo! Mail. Users can select the dropdown next to the paperclip icon in Yahoo Mail and select ‘Share from Dropbox’. A Dropbox Chooser will show up, allowing you to choose files you want to share. The attachments will appear within the email you’re composing.
For larger attachments, you can simply drag and drop the attachments into your e-mail but can send it via Dropbox. Learn more about Dropbox-Yahoo integration here.
