Samsung is currently rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 to older devices worldwide. While this was a slower rollout than usual, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is already working on the Android 16-based One UI 8. According to recent reports, the company may soon release the One UI 8 beta. This comes after the company placed One UI 8 beta program banners on its community forums and Members app, implying that it may be released soon.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 Edge may not receive the One UI 8 update anytime soon, according to the report. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 FE may come pre-installed with the Android 16 update. In the coming weeks, Samsung may make One UI 8 beta available for older devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and select Galaxy tablets. However, it differs from the One UI 7 beta update, which was rolled out to older devices following the S24.

According to reports, the Samsung One UI 8 beta will initially be available in select countries such as the United States, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, and Poland. The company has also launched a new Beta Program Home within the Samsung Members app. It will be a streamlined hub where users can view all active beta programs, join, leave, or update them, as well as access beta tips and rollbacks.

In terms of release timeline, the Android 16-based One UI 8 is expected to arrive alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. These devices are expected to launch in July, coinciding with Google’s June release of Android 16.
