Google India has released the top 10 trending YouTube videos in India in 2013. The list called 'YouTube Rewind: What India watched in 2013', includes movie trailers, popular TV shows and cricket. Trailers of Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 and Telegu short film titled Viva top the charts.
Indians watched the Krrish 3 trailer 19 million times making it the top trending video in 2013. Comedy Nights with Kapil was the most watched TV show on YouTube, followed by Top 10 catches in cricket history, MTV roadies and made for web content ‘Gangs of social media’ kept the viewers glued to the screen.
Most watched music videos were 'Jeene Laga Hoon' from the film Ramaiya Vastavaiya, sung by Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal. The video secured the top place with more than 15 million views this year.
The movie X-Men: Days of Future Past was the most watched Hollywood trailer, recording more than 22 million views. For kids content, HooplaKidz which show nursery rhymes and stories for children topped the list of top kids channel securing more than 8 lakh subscribers.
The Subway Surfers Google Play trailer topped the list with 32 million overall views on YouTube. It is one of the most watched mobile gaming app video in 2013. How to Videos on Women Self Defense Techniques topped the list of most viewed 'How To' videos got more than 3 million views.
To celebrate these trending videos, 60 creators got together and made a little video for everyone. The list was based on total number of views generated by the video combined with likes, shares and comments on the video. The list gives a idea about what kind of video content the Indian viewer is looking for.
According to a recent report by Yahoo, Royal Baby and Miley Cyrus were the most searched celebrities on the internet globally in 2013. In India Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were the most searched celebrities.
