HCL officially launches Me Champ tablet, aimed at kids between 3-12 years of age
The company has also launched ‘KIDS ARE CHAMP’ sponsorship programme, which gives 10 lucky kids a chance to win scholarships totaling Rs. 5 lakhs.
HCL Infosystems Ltd. has officially announced the launch of its new tablet “Me Champ” targeted at kids between 3-12 years of age. The new HCL tablet comes preloaded with a wide range of infotainment content across various categories like Games, Education, Books & TV, taking learning and play to the next level. The HCL Me Champ tablet is priced at Rs 7,999.
The HCL Me Champ, spotted online last week, features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 pixels resolution. The tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The tablet also has 4GB built-in storage along with a microSD slot that supports up to 32GB storage.
The tablet sports 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. For connectivity, the tablet supports 3G via USB and Wi-Fi. It comes with a 3,100 mAh battery. The HCL ME Champ comes pre-loaded with 1 Mobile App Store.
HCL is also running ‘KIDS ARE CHAMP’ sponsorship programme, which gives 10 lucky kids a chance to win scholarships totaling Rs. 5 lac.
