Google readying an auto-generated playlist, YouTube Mix
YouTube Mix, the rumoured auto-generated playlist, will showcase continuous 50 videos, based on what users are interested in.
Google is said to be working on a new feature for its video sharing website YouTube. Dubbed as YouTube Mix, the feature is an auto-generated playlist that shows users suggested videos on the basis of what they’re ‘interested’ in. The new feature is supposed to help users access better videos and channels on YouTube.
According to The Next Web, YouTube Mix will allow users to see 50 videos back to back, recommended by the site. Users don’t need to click through each video to watch them. It’s notable YouTube already features suggested videos in the right side bar of each page.
The site further says once a user has watched 50 videos, additional 50 will be added to the playlist. Moreover, YouTube Mix will also allow users to shuffle videos, relocate and skip through, like a music playlist.
YouTube Mix is likely to come in handy when a user wants to see a particular artist’s latest music videos or on topics they are interested in.
Rumours of auto-generated playlist on YouTube come shortly after the video sharing network updated its iOS app with live streaming and video queuing. The update v1.3 also includes new My Subscriptions feed, which enables users to have quick access to the latest uploads. Read more about the update here.
