Google Drive now has 5,000 new stock images
Back in August this year, Google had announced adding a gallery of stock images to Google Drive – a moved that was aimed at helping users find the right pictures more easily and for free. Google today announced the stock images in Google Drive has now 5,000 new photos from a wide range of categories.
“Thanks to your suggestions, 5,000 new photos of nature, weather, animals, sports, food, education, technology, music and 8 other categories are now available for your use in Docs, Sheets, and Slides. More than 900 of these photos were selected directly from your submissions — we really appreciate your help,” says Google in a blog post.
If you are looking to use the stock images, you need to visit www.thinkstock.com and look for images, or browse them by category. Select Insert > Image, click on Search, filter to Stock photos and choose the image you want. You can also submit the item numbers (linked underneath each image) for up to 10 photos you’d like to nominate for use in your docs, presentations and spreadsheets.
You can share your feedback with Google feedback for the Stock Images on the Google Drive page.
Google recently gave a facelift to its web-based office suite and data storage service, Google Docs, by adding 450 new fonts, 60 new templates and a host of other features. The company also added a “research pane”, which allows users to search any specific information on the search engine without leaving the Docs. Read about this feature here.
