Discord down: The popular messaging platform Discord is currently experiencing a major outage. On Downdetector, an online outage monitoring platform, more than 6,000 users in the US have reported issues with the platform. Most of the reported problems appear to be related to voice calls.
SurveyData from Downdetector shows that around 82 per cent of users are experiencing issues with voice calling, while about 13 per cent have reported problems with the app itself. The remaining 2 per cent say they are having trouble logging in.
Reports of the outage started appearing at around 5:00 AM and have continued to rise since then. As expected, many frustrated users turned to X (formerly Twitter) to share their experiences and look out for the updates. While one user posted,’DISCORD IS DOWN @discord what up we pay for your fun stuff and everything but we can’t even stay in a Voice Call!!,’ another wrote, ‘discord voice chat is down and now I can’t talk to my e boyfriend.’

So far, Discord has not issued any official statement about the issue. For now, users experiencing problems with the platform will have to wait until the company identifies the cause and restores the service.

For those unaware, Discord is an instant messaging platform that lets users communicate through voice calls, video calls, text messages, and media sharing. Conversations can take place privately or within virtual communities known as servers. The platform is popular among gamers.
