Bosch has launched the 2026 range of Hitachi air conditioners in India, introducing more than 80 models across various tiers and categories. The new lineup focuses on higher energy efficiency under updated Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) star rating norms, while claiming to maintain cooling performance in temperatures as high as 54°C. The range is aimed at a wide set of buyers, from budget users to premium segment customers, with a clear push towards smart features, lower power consumption, and durability suited to Indian conditions. The 2026 Hitachi AC lineup introduces several hardware and software-level upgrades designed for real-world usage in Indian summers.
At a core level, the models support high ambient cooling, and are said to maintain performance even when outdoor temperatures cross 50°C. This could particularly be relevant for north and central India, where peak summer temperatures often impact AC efficiency.
One of the key highlights of this range is the new Octa Sensor system, which uses eight sensors across indoor and outdoor units to monitor temperature, load, and operational conditions. This is claimed to allow the AC to adjust cooling output more precisely while also protecting against voltage fluctuations, a common issue in many regions.
Further, there is the Hybrid Convertible technology, which allows users to switch between different cooling capacities. So, when the AC runs at lower power, it should help in saving money and extending compressor life.
Its smart features are handled through the AirCloud Go platform. You can also control the AC via voice using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to set energy usage limits, and track consumption through an integrated energy tracker.

In terms of performance, the flagship SUMO series is rated for a cooling capacity of up to 7400W, which should be suitable for larger rooms or harsher climates.
Meanwhile, the Signature series focuses on design-led differentiation, offering finishes like Magnum Grey and Marble White. This aligns with the broader trend where ACs are designed to add to the indoor decor.
Thirdly, the Hot & Cold variants (Shizen and iZen) cater to regions with seasonal variation, reducing the need for separate heating solutions.
