What happened at Boat?
The data of over 7 million Boat customers has been compromised. It exposes the
personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and residential addresses of the affected customers. Reports suggest that this leaked data is now available on the dark web and is being sold for as low as EUR 2. Hacker ‘ShopifyGUY’ has claimed responsibility for this data breach.

The data breach has exposed the affected customers to cyberattacks where their personal information can be misused. Phishing scams are another major concern as all of the personal data is in the hands of someone who cannot be trusted.
How did Boat react to the situation?
We are still waiting for an official acknowledgment of the cyber attack from Boat. The company has not shared any information about the breach or its next course of action.
