HIGHLIGHTS
The next-generation AirPods Pro are already among the most anticipated earbuds on the market. While official details about the AirPods Pro 3 are still unknown, independent researcher Aaron Perris recently discovered that Apple may have accidentally confirmed the existence of its next-generation AirPods Pro. According to reports, the company has updated the software text string to include compatibility with “Apple AirPods Pro 2 or later,” which differs from the previous wording, which only specified the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation. This change has sparked speculation that Apple may be preparing to launch AirPods Pro 3.
The updated software code included references to future AirPods Pro models, but not to the standard AirPods lineup, which has its own separate text string. This has led to speculation that the mention of later models is not a general update, but rather a specific reference to an upcoming product, most likely the AirPods Pro 3.

It’s worth noting that the company hasn’t officially confirmed the AirPods Pro 3 yet. However, if the reports are accurate, the company may offer major improvements such as a new design, an upgraded chipset, and improved noise cancellation. According to the leaks, Apple may also include cross-platform connectivity, making it a more versatile option for Android users.
The AirPods Pro 3 could include health-related features such as in-ear heart rate monitoring, temperature tracking, and a new design. According to some reports, the device could be released at WWDC in 2025. However, this is not yet confirmed.
Do note that the official release timeline remains under wraps, but the report suggests that the announcement can be imminent.
