Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s wife, Cami Clark, has come under scrutiny after newly reported details from the Jeffrey Epstein files brought attention to her past business ventures and contacts. Clark, who usually keeps a low profile, has reportedly played an important advisory role in Amodei’s career and Anthropic’s success even though she doesn’t hold a formal position at the AI startup. A new report and former emails from the Epstein files show that Clark contacted Epstein more than a decade ago while seeking interest in business projects. One of those ventures was described as a ‘revolutionary porn company’. The records do not show that Epstein invested in Clark’s businesses, but they have raised fresh questions about her earlier career and connections.
SurveyAccording to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, Clark and her business partner, Michelle Capocefalo, were introduced to Epstein through literary agent John Brockman in March 2011. Shortly after, she sent him material related to her company Eddice’s planned films, describing them as ‘a little NSFW’. About a year later, Clark reintroduced herself, reminding Epstein of the ‘free luxury porn company’ and pitching him for investment. Epstein reportedly turned her down, stating he ‘can’t do sex TV’.

In that same exchange, Clark pivoted to pitching Epstein on backing a ‘social dieting’ app and website. There is no indication in the available records that Epstein ever invested in either venture, though the exchanges show Clark stayed in contact with his circle for roughly two years, including an invitation to her and Capocefalo’s house-warming party in Manhattan and a 2013 LinkedIn connection.
Who is Cami Clark?
Cami Clark is an entrepreneur and strategic adviser who has been described as a sounding board for Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, despite not formally working for the company. She has also been involved in entrepreneurial ventures, including a self-described ‘free luxury porn’ company and a social dieting app.
Clark grew up in Nevada and dated former Google chief Eric Schmidt for three years before her relationship with Amodei began in 2014. She is credited with introducing Amodei to Schmidt, a connection that later helped bring Schmidt in as an early Anthropic backer after Amodei and several colleagues left OpenAI to start the company in December 2020.

Clark married Amodei in 2022 and has continued to appear alongside Amodei at high-profile gatherings, from the World Economic Forum in Davos to investor circles at the Allen & Co. conference in Sun Valley, and even accompanied him during his visit to New Delhi for the AI Impact Summit.
Despite her reported influence and connections in the technology and investment worlds, relatively little public information is available about her. Do note that at the time of writing neither Clark nor Anthropic has publicly commented on the report.
