OnePlus 16

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 16 will launch in China on October 12, 2026, announcing the date during its 2026 Gaming Conference and via Weibo. The phone arrives earlier in the year than the OnePlus 15, which was announced in late October 2025. OnePlus has officially confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 185Hz refresh rate, and a major camera upgrade over the OnePlus 15, with a gaming-first positioning. A global launch has been reported for a later date, but OnePlus has not confirmed an India launch date or price. This page will be updated after the October 12 launch event.

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 16 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, specifically calling out its GPU with Matrix Cores, a feature restricted to the Extreme tier of the chipset. The company has also confirmed custom touch and Wi-Fi chips aimed at gaming performance, a rear LED, and camera software modes including an XPAN-style mode and a Master Mode. The rear camera system is headlined by a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, supported by a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Beyond these teased details, several headline figures remain reports rather than confirmed specifications, including a 9,000mAh dual-cell battery with 100W wired charging, a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
