iQOO launched the iQOO 16 in China on September 29, 2026, alongside the iQOO Pad Ultra gaming tablet, with sales starting right after the event. It is one of the first phones powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which iQOO paired with its in-house Q4 gaming chip, and it introduces what the company calls the first 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate, built with Samsung Display. As of this writing, iQOO has not announced an India launch date, price, or final India specifications for the iQOO 16, though Indian media have reported that the phone is expected to follow. This page will be updated once iQOO makes an official India announcement.
The iQOO 16 is built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a 2nm chipset with a prime core clocked at up to 5.01GHz and an Adreno 850 GPU. RAM options are 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra memory, with UFS 4.1 storage in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations. It features a 6.85-inch 2K (1440x3168) AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It measures 8.3mm thick and weighs between roughly 222g and 230g depending on the variant, and it runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
