HIGHLIGHTS

ANS and NNG have launched the Navigator A-501 GPS device, offers Live Traffic update in India.

NNG (Nav N Go) and Ayana Navigation Solutions (ANS) have launched a Personal Navigation Device called the ANS Navigator A-501. This new GPS device gives users live traffic updates to help solve problems faced by commuters in India.

The ANS Navigator A-501 has a 5-inch display screen that runs on NNG’s iGO Primo software. The device is pre-loaded with the latest India maps and covers over 7 million Points of Interest . It comes with a 1-year map update with a guarantee from NNG’s update portal, Naviextras.

The device has a number of interesting features like, Integrated Quick Search through which the user can quickly program his destination. The user needs to enter the first 3 letters of his destination and the software pulls up the results, in a similar manner to Google Search. Once the destination is entered, the software starts searching across all available databases such as POIs, addresses, favorites, etc. for the fastest route and if you run into traffic it will automatically calculate detours. The new GPS device will be launched in October 2013 and will be available from car dealerships, retail channels & aftermarket accessory stores.

Commenting on the scope of navigation devices in India, Péter Bolesza, Vice President of EEU and Emerging Markets at NNG, said “India has a diverse demographic and with increased urbanization, navigation solutions have become the need of the hour. We are convinced that iGO Primo – easy and quick to use, and optimized for the Indian road system – makes driving an enjoyable and stress-free activity.”

Amit Sharma, Director at ANS India, said “Our aim has always been to offer innovative navigation solutions that enhance the driving experience. We’re positive that the new ANS Navigator device with iGO Primo brings real value to every car.”
