Sony State of Play 2026: When and where to watch

Sony has officially confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation State of Play showcase will be streamed on February 12 at 2 pm Pacific Time and 5 pm Eastern Time. For viewers in India, this means 3:30 am on February 13. While the late night timing may not be ideal for everyone, fans who want to catch announcements live will need to stay up or rely on replays later in the morning. The company has also said that the livestream will run for over sixty minutes, making it one of the longest State of Play events ever hosted.

The broadcast will be available on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. Traditionally, the Twitch stream runs a few seconds ahead of YouTube. Sony has described the showcase as a global update featuring studios from around the world. This means the event will not be limited to just one region or genre. Instead, players can expect a mix of indie titles, third party collaborations, and updates from PlayStation Studios. The livestream is free to watch and does not require any registration, making it easy for anyone with an internet connection to tune in.

What to expect from the February State of Play showcase

Sony has not revealed a complete game list yet, but several strong possibilities are already being talked about. One of the biggest expectations is Marathon, an extraction shooter that is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in early March. Another anticipated title is Saros, an action game from Housemarque that recently saw a slight delay and is now targeting an April release. Both games fall within Sony’s 2026 window, making them likely candidates for gameplay trailers or deeper looks.

There is also growing curiosity around Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games, although the title still does not have a confirmed release date. Guerrilla Games recently introduced Horizon Hunters Gathering, a cooperative multiplayer experience with a more cartoon style, and this could receive another teaser.

On the third party side, Resident Evil Requiem is expected to get more attention, possibly even a demo announcement based on Capcom’s past strategy with earlier Resident Evil releases. Pragmata is another title that could appear before its planned April launch. With over an hour of runtime promised, viewers can expect a packed showcase filled with trailers, updates, and a few surprises that may define PlayStation’s upcoming year.
