Razer’s Forge console lets you play PC, Android games on your TV

Gaming hardware manufacturer, Razer has unveiled its Android powered gaming console, called Razer Forge TV

Gaming hardware manufacturer Razer has entered into Android based gaming consoles with the Razer Forge TV, announced at CES 2015, which is all set to debut in Q1 of 2015. For a price tag of $99.99 (Rs. 6,323 approx.), without the controller, and $149.99 (Rs. 9,485 approx.),the Forge TV allows users to play both Android and PC Games on your TV.

The PC games are playable using Razer's proprietary Razer Cortex software which enables you to mirror your PC games to the console. The console runs on the Android TV platform also has the capability to cast and stream videos, music and Android Apps straight to your TV. The hardware of the console include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which has four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.5 Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and a 600MHz Adreno 420 GPU.

Razer also unveiled a number of Bluetooth enabled devices including the Turret keyboard and mouse combo that includes a magnetic mouse; the Nabu X, a basic alternative to the Nabu Smartband, that could sell for as less as $20 (Rs. 1,200 approx.). Also launched was a VR headset, and an Android inspired open-source VR initiative,with the help of other hardware makers.
