There’s yet another PUBG Mobile tournament being hosted in India. This time around, Oppo and Tencent have partnered to host it. Called the PUBG Mobile India Tour (PMIT), registrations for the event start today (July 1). It offers a total cash pool of Rs 1.5 Crore. The winning team stands to win Rs 50 lakh, while second and third placed teams stand to win Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively. In fact, it is noted that all teams who make it to the Grand Final will be awarded cash prizes.

The PUBG Mobile India Tour is a four-month long event that features a combination of online events with regional finals held in four cities in india. These four cities are Jaipur, Guwahati, Pune and Vizag. The Grand Final will be held in Kolkata on October 2019.

The tournament is open to all Indian residents who have a PUBG Mobile account that is above Tier Platinum 5, or level 20. Users from all over the country can choose one of the aforementioned four cities when registering. Players who meet these criteria can register here.

It is noted that while there is no restriction on the number of players registering in a group, the number of registrations by a participant is limited to one. Finally, the squad members in a team can be from any city and are not restricted to any geographical region. Further, the matches will be exclusive to the squad-only format and played across all four maps. Further, the rounds will be a mix of First-Person and Third-person perspectives.

Based on the points secured by the registered squads during the ‘In-game' qualifier phase, the top 500 teams from each group will be selected for the ‘Online Playoffs’. The squads will then be further filtered to 20 of the best teams across the groups, which will then compete for a chance to make it to the group finals. Then, the top four teams from each group will get a direct promotion to the Grand Final. Meanwhile, the top 16 teams from each group final (64 teams in total) that were eliminated during the online playoffs will get a chance to enter the Grand Finale via the ‘Wild Card’ rounds. There will be a total of four teams that will be entered into the Grand Final via the wild card route.

Besides the prize money mentioned above, players who qualify for the Group and Grand Finale will receive a total of Rs 25 lakh in logistical support. Group Finalists will also receive PUBG Goodies worth Rs 10 lakh. Further, there will be a vote by the public on the most popular teams, the winner of which will receive Rs 10 lakh. On top of this, there will also be awards for individual and squad achievements. These include Rs 50,000 for individual achievements, and Rs 1 lakh for squad-based achievements.
