It has been a while since Nvidia announced GeForce Now, its cloud gaming service. But there still hasn’t been any word on the official launch date in India. But that seems to be changing soon. The company, after a long silence, has finally dropped a major hint that the service could go live in India as soon as next month. But we wouldn’t get too excited yet. Nvidia confirms India rollout timeline

Nvidia has confirmed that GeForce Now will arrive in India before the end of its current fiscal quarter, which wraps up in April 2026. Now if you think that this was announced via a keynote or a press release, you’d be wrong. Nvidia made the announcement through a community moderator Reddit post.

The post reads, “We appreciate seeing the excitement for GeForce NOW in India. Work is progressing to bring the GeForce NOW experience to the region, with first availability expected before the end of our fiscal quarter in April.”

The company had first announced GeForce Now’s return to India during CES 2025. And the service had to go live later that year. However, the rollout was pushed to early 2026 due to ongoing server infrastructure work. Now, fast forward to March 2026, Nvidia has already been testing the service in Mumbai, suggesting that a wider rollout is coming soon.

What to expect from GeForce Now in India

So what exactly is GeForce Now and what can you expect from it when it rolls out in India? It is a subscription service that lets you play your favourite titles using the Cloud. In other words, instead of running a game on your device, the game runs on Nvidia’s remote servers and streams to your screen.

This means that you don’t really need to own expensive hardware to enjoy the latest games. Even a basic laptop or smartphone can handle visually demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2, as long as your internet connection is stable. Nvidia recommends at least 15 Mbps for 720p gaming and closer to 40 Mbps for higher resolutions.

Moreover, GeForce Now will come with various subscription tiers in India which are both paid and free. The free plan will have one-hour sessions and ads.

As far as the pricing is concerned, there hasn’t been a confirmation yet. Internationally, Nvidia charges around $9.99 for its Performance tier and $19.99 for the Ultimate tier, with features like 4K streaming and high frame rates. However, for India, the charges are yet to be announced.
