Samsung has finally expanded its foldable smartphone portfolio during the Galaxy Unpacked event in 2026. The South Korean tech giant has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra ships with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset under the hood and is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The smartphone also features a triple-camera setup led by a 200MP main camera to please the photography enthusiasts. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra comes equipped with an 8.0-inch 2x AMOLED main panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Along with that, the foldable device also sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The handset comes packed with a 5,000mAh dual battery which is paired with 45W fast charging. Along with that, it also supports reverse wireless charging and 20W of fast wireless charging. Amid the dual battery, the smartphone only measures 8.9mm in thickness when folded, which reduces to just 4.1mm when unfolded. And in terms of weight, it just weighs 215g.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It is available in multiple storage and RAM configurations, offering up to 1TB of internal storage and up to 16GB of RAM.
Out of the box, the smartphone runs on OneUI 9, which is an Android 17-based skin. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra also bags an IP48 rating to keep the device protected against water.
For the camera enthusiasts, the device features a triple camera setup at the back, including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens. At the front the device also houses a 10MP camera under the cover display and a 10MP sensor under the main display.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: Price
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is priced at Rs 1,99,999 in the Indian market for the base 12GB and 256GB variants and Rs 2,19,999 for the 12GB and 512GB configurations. However, the 16GB and 1TB variant landed with a price tag of Rs 2,59,999.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 comes with Graphite, Cream and Velvet Shadow colour options. There is also a Green Shadow variant, which is a Samsung.com exclusive.
Consumers can pre-order the smartphone on Samsung’s official website starting today, and sales of the device will begin on August 7.
