However, Apple recently hiked the iPhone prices in Japan, and following that, there were many speculations that the Cupertino tech giant may increase the smartphone prices in India as well. Now a tipster suggests that the Apple iPhone 17 series could receive a price hike as early as the first week of August. If the information turns out to be accurate, then the buyers who were planning to purchase the iPhone 17 series may have to pay a noticeably higher price.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a post on his official X account where he stated that Apple has told iPlanet dealers that the iPhone 17 price could jump to Rs 94,990. If the reported price hike goes through, then the buyers will have to pay Rs 12,090 more to buy the standard iPhone 17, which was officially launched at Rs 82,900. He further added that the price hike is expected to kick in from the first week of August.

Apple has informed iPlanet dealers that the iPhone 17 could start at ₹94,990 in India from the first week of August, a ₹12,000 jump from the iPhone 17's launch price of ₹82,990.
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could also see similar price hikes.

He also added that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max might get similar price increases, though the new prices for these models haven’t been shared yet.
On top of that, he mentions that iPhone stock is currently limited across India, so some buyers are struggling to find these models in stores right now. However, the company has also reportedly told its supply chain that fresh stock should reach dealers by next weekend.

At the time of writing Apple has not made any official announcement regarding a price hike for the iPhone 17 series.
