GTA Online new heist is here but fans are worried about GTA 6: Here is why

With each passing day, we are getting closer and closer to the launch of the most-awaited game of the year – GTA 6. Millions of fans around the world are excited to step into Vice City yet again and experience the story of the two new protagonists. But before GTA 6 arrives, Rockstar has apparently given GTA Online players something to worry about. Yep, you read that right. The new heist in GTA Online, called the Kortz Center heist, is being talked about on Reddit. And some are also worried about GTA 6 after trying out the heist. Why? Read on.

About GTA Online new heist
The new Kortz Center heist sounds like one of the biggest additions to the game in recent times. As a player, you get to plan the robbery, gather information, come up with different strategies, and pull off a high-risk mission for a big reward. Rockstar has also added a mansion expansion, new vehicles, and several other features alongside the heist.
But, there is a catch. While the Kortz Center heist offers its biggest payout during the first playthrough every week, the rewards become lower in later attempts. Rockstar says this happens because repeatedly selling the same stolen goods “saturates the market” and leads to “buyer fatigue”, encouraging players to try other activities instead of farming a single heist over and over again.
Why are players saying?
Head over to Reddit and you will find several players claiming that Rockstar has reduced the payouts of older heists, especially the popular Cayo Perico heist. This is the third time Rockstar has lowered the rewards for Cayo Perico since it launched in 2020. According to players, even completing the mission under the Elite Challenge now earns less than $1 million. Meanwhile, the Pink Diamond, one of the most valuable loot items in the heist, reportedly pays less than $900,000 compared to more than $1.4 million earlier.
Players are also unhappy with how expensive the new heist is. Those starting from scratch reportedly need around $15 million to access it, while players who already own the required mansion still have to spend about $4.7 million. On top of that, several users have reported bugs after the update, with some Reddit users even calling it one of the worst GTA Online updates in recent years.
That said, people are also worried about GTA 6. This is because Rockstar has so far focused on GTA 6’s single-player experience, but many fans expect a new version of GTA Online to arrive after the game’s launch. Some players now fear that if Rockstar is making it harder to earn money in GTA Online today, the next online experience could become even more grind-heavy and rely more on monetisation.
‘I don’t even want to think about how grindy GTA 6 Online is going to be,’ a Reddit user said on the platform while another user chimed in and wrote, ‘Yeah this change alone has made me not want GTA 6 at all’.
PS: Rockstar has not announced any such plans for GTA 6 and we must await an official confirmation before assuming anything.
