HIGHLIGHTS

Crash Bandicoot Mobile is available for Android in Malaysia.

The game is an endless running game like Temple Run.

There is no information on when the game will launch in India.

Crash Bandicoot was an iconic character associated with the original PlayStation Console back in the mid-’90s. Today, the remaster of the original trilogy along with the cart racing game, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is available across all consoles. The only platform where Crash needed to launch officially is the smartphone. It looks like that dream is becoming a reality too. Crash Bandicoot Mobile is available for download via the Google Play Store in Malaysia only. There is no information on when the game will come to India.

The format of the game is that it is an endless runner, just like we’ve seen in games like Temple Run. Crash will run on his own, and players can tap for his spin attack, swipe up to jump, down to slide, and side to side to avoid obstacles.

‘King’ the studio behind Candy Crush has developed the game. The studio is owned by Activision Blizzard. The game's description reads, “In this new mobile episode, Dr Neo Cortex has dispatched mutagen henchmen across the multiverse to enslave all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex's minions back to their own dimensions!”

Some key levels like Temple Ruins, Lost City, Wumpa Island, and Turtle Woods are there in the game’s description. Levels will also feature hidden paths that lead to new levels, rewards, and challenges. If you search for Crash Bandicoot in the Google Play Store in India, then you will not see the game as it isn't available here. However, you will see a lot of Crash Bandicoot clone games. Don't be fooled by them. The game is also expected to launch on iOS but there is no information on when the game will hit iOS devices.

A fun fact is that Crash Bandicoot was developed by Naughty Dog. The studio went on to become a first-party Sony Studio and has published games like the Last of Us, the Uncharted franchise, and many more.
