Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Mobile has managed to cross the 500 million downloads mark. The game was launched back in October 2019 and since then it has gained its own dedicated fanbase among the greater Call of Duty community.

In order to mark the occasion and thank the players, Activision has announced that all players will receive 10 Radio Current Crates. These crates can then be opened to receive random Items from that set. In the case of the Radio Current Crate, this includes two characters, namely the Special Ops 1-Radio Current and Outrider-Radio Current. The crate will also offer Radio Current themed AK-47 assault rifle, Locus sniper rifle, Wingsuit, Parachute and Backpack. There are also Traffic Cone themed items up for grabs.

How to collect the Radio Current Crates in Call of Duty: Mobile

All players should have received a main in their in-game inbox. This mail will have the subject ‘500 Million Downloads Celebration’. Simply open the main and redeem the crates.

Like all crates, the Radio Current crates will be available in the in-game Inventory. Players will have to head over to their ‘Loadout’ and select ‘Inventory’. The Radio Current crates will be there Players can then choose to unbox these crates one at a time, or unbox them all together.

The 500 million download mark comes just a few weeks before the Season 4 update to Call of Duty: Mobile. The developers haven’t confirmed anything yet, but leaks suggest that we might get to see the addition of the Akimbo perk to the Chopper LMG. This will allow players to dual-wield the weapon. Exactly how balanced the weapon is, remains to be seen. Speaking of weapon balancing, the developers have confirmed that they will be bringing some major weapon rebalancing soon.
