After the surprising success of Netflix’s live-action One Piece in 2023, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next season. Turning one of the most loved anime and manga series into a live-action show was risky, but it paid off. The first season received over 37.8 million views in just two weeks and was praised by both loyal fans and newcomers.

Well, Netflix has officially confirmed that One Piece season 2 is on the way. From the release timeline to the plot, here’s everything we know so far about the second season of One Piece.

Netflix has confirmed that One Piece season 2 will release sometime in 2026. Like the first season, season 2 will also stream only on Netflix.

One Piece season 2 plot

One Piece season 2 will pick up right where the story left off. Luffy and his crew will continue their exciting journey to the Grand Line. Viewers will be taken to new locations such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island.

One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of Dr Kureha. According to co-showrunner Matt Owens, this character will have a big role in the upcoming season.
