Jabra launches all-new red Wave headset, with A2DP

Jabra has announced the launch and availability of the new red Jabra Wave, a Bluetooth mono headset. It has been priced at Rs. 3,899 and features A2DP functionality, allowing users to stream music from their smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player, podcasts, directions from GPS applications etc.

The new red Jabra Wave headset fits snugly behind-the-ear (read our review), and fits a thinner, sleeker design than usual – a Bluetooth headset design that recently won the much ‘Red Dot’ design award for the year 2011 – perfect for those who wish to wear the headset all day long.

It features a Voice Guidance feature, which can communicates the caller ID, battery level and communication status through the headset, and can take the user through the set-up and pairing process with ease. The Jabra Wave automatically pairs up with two mobile devices simultaneously, with its Multiuse Technology. According to Jabra, the new Wave headset offers up to 6 hours of talk time and 8 days of standby time.

The Jabra Wave headset also features access to the Jabra World of Apps Portal, where consumers can find voice-enabled apps. The headset supports Bluetooth 3.0 (with A2DP, EDR and eSCO), HD Voice technology, acoustic shock protection, 3-layer wind noise reduction for quality sound on-the-go, and a weight of only 13 grams. It also comes with the Jabra Comfort Eargel & Jabra Wind Sock for wind noise reduction.

Ms. Ann Goh, Regional Sales Manager, GN Netcom, responsible for mobile products business in South East Asia, spoke about the new headset:

“Jabra Wave Bluetooth headset owing to its 3 layer wind noise reduction feature prevents wind and background noise from interfering with conversations. With its carefully placed microphone and HD Voice* technology (one of the recent additions), which enhances the sound quality of calls dramatically, users are able to hear other person’s voice with unbelievable clarity as if he/she was right there. This combined with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, enables crystal clear audio – even outdoor elements aren’t ideal. When you wear Jabra Wave, you hear every word. Wear it to work, on the move or in the car, and wave goodbye to noise on all your calls.”
