Specifications and features
The Phantom Ultimate range uses Devialet’s latest Analog Digital Hybrid (ADH) amplification, paired with upgraded drivers and signal processing. These feature side-firing woofer for low frequencies and a dedicated mid driver and tweeter. The 108 dB model has an enhanced driver.

The 98 dB model supports 32-bit / 96 kHz audio with a claimed frequency response of 18 Hz to 25 kHz, while the 108 dB version extends high-frequency output up to 35 kHz and delivers significantly higher sound pressure levels.
They come with Heart Bass Implosion (HBI), which uses synchronised lateral woofers to reduce cabinet vibration and improve impact. Furthermore, it has a real-time DSP tuning to control distortion, clipping, and background noise.
So, it has smart features aimed at maintaining clarity and tonal balance at both low and very high listening levels, rather than chasing volume alone.
Both speakers run on Devialet OS 3, powered by an NXP iMX8 processor. Streaming support includes AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Roon Ready, and UPnP, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The 98 dB model uses Bluetooth 5.2, while the 108 dB variant moves to Bluetooth 5.3 for improved stability and latency.
You also get stereo pairing with two identical Phantom Ultimate speakers and Multiroom playback across compatible Devialet speakers.
Through the Devialet app, users get a six-band equaliser and three preset sound modes:
- Music mode: tuned for neutral, studio-style playback
- Movie mode: tuned for enhanced dynamics and presence
- Podcast mode: tuned for voice clarity
There are on-device touch-based controls, too, for volume up, volume down, play or pause and Bluetooth pairing, and an LED status indicator for power and connection state. The 108 dB variant supports a physical remote, also, which can control single or stereo setups with automatic synchronisation.
Design-wise, they have a spherical shape that is meant to evenly disperse sound, and a reinforced internal structure meant to withstand sustained high output and heat.
