The update brings a slew of new features and improvements to user interface and search functionality.

Twitter earlier this week rolled out a major update to its BlackBerry 10 app. Twitter version 10.2 for BlackBerry 10 brings a redesigned user interface including a wider timeline and a slew of new features.

The updated Twitter for BB10 app brings support for multiple accounts within the app. It also lets you view, reply and send direct messages within the app. The Refresh has also been overhauled to maintain users location in the timeline.

Twitter has added a new Discover page that provides a stream of Tweets, accounts to follow and more.

“Simply pull to refresh or scroll to see more and discover even more fascinating people to follow. Plus the Activity page provides a view into what the people you are following are doing on Twitter including who they’re following and what tweets they’re favoring,” says Twitter in a release.

The updated Photo Save photo lets you save pictures shared on Twitter directly to the BB10 smartphone. Twitter has also updated the search functionality, making it possible for users to view recent and saved searches, and auto search suggestions.

BB10 users can download the updated Twitter from BlackBerry World.
