Shortly after rolling out the new Gmail experience, Google is now rolling out the latest version of the e-mail service to Android users.
Google has started rolling out a new update to its Gmail app for Android platform. The update brings the recent changes to Gmail’s desktop version that included a new tabular and slide-out navigation interface.
According to the app’s change log, now Gmail for Android users can reply, archive or delete from notifications, without needing to open the app. This feature is only available for users of Android v4.1 and above.
For Android v4.0 and above, the update is said to make the search faster, even in offline mode. It also includes various bug fixes and performance improvements. For Android 2.2 and up, the update has new labels API for third party app developers and performance improvements.
