The Poco C50 is the first offering from the brand for 2023. Poco has launched the new budget smartphone at a price of Rs 6,499 onwards for the base 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The top-spec 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 7,299 in the country.
The Poco C50 has been launched with a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a touch sampling rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. The Poco C50, being an entry-level offering, is not a powerful offering from Poco and given the limited amount of RAM, the Poco C50 runs on Android 12 Go, which is the lighter version of Android. The smartphone is not recommended for those looking for a device for gaming or other high-performance tasks.
The leather-like finish on the Poco C50 is very similar to what we have seen on Redmi’s A1 series of smartphones that were launched last year. In fact, the whole design of Poco's first launch for 2023 looks inspired by the Redmi A1, which could be both good or bad for the brand, since it is a nice premium-looking design but people may mistake the Poco C50 for a Redmi A1 smartphone.
